Brittany Ann Viola (born April 19th 1987, in Minnesota) was an American platform diver, previously for the University of Miami. In the years 2008 as well as 2011, she took home the NCAA championships in diving’s ten-meter platform. She was selected for the United States diving team for the 2009 World Aquatics Championships 2011 World Aquatics Championships held in Rome and Shanghai respectively. Viola was appointed Captain for the U.S. Diving Team for the 2009 event.

Viola’s Olympic hopes began when she saw her team, the Magnificent Seven U.S. Gymnastics Team win gold in Atlanta in 1996. Viola was close to making her place on the 2004 U.S. Olympic Diving Team placing 2nd on the 10 meter platform in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials as a high school student. Prior to going to University of Miami, University of Miami, Viola completed her studies and graduated in the year the year 2005 at Lake Highland Preparatory School in Orlando, Florida. In high school, she was a member of the current YCF Diving at the YMCA Aquatic Center in Orlando, FL. In 2008, Viola was chosen as one of the alternates for the U.S. Olympic Diving Team after she placed fourth in the preliminary competitions. One of her most notable achievements was competitive diving Viola was third at the U.S. Grand Prix in Fort Lauderdale, FL, in 2009.
