Haras Fyre is one of the most popular and richest Singer who was born on January 5, 1953 in Newark, New Jersey, United States. Haras Fyre (born January 5, 1953), also professionally known as Patrick Grant, is a BMI affiliated songwriter as well as a singer and multi-instrumentalist.

Seven of the nine songs from Sister Sledge’s “Circle Of Love”, album contained those ‘unsellable” songs written by Fyre or Guthrie. Two songs from that album made it into the top 10 on the US Dance Chart. One of those songs, Pain Reliever, won the Silver Award at 1975 Tokyo Music Festival. Fyre and Guthrie wrote Ben E. King’s return single, “Supernatural Thing”, which was followed immediately by “This Time, I’ll Be sweeter “‘:[1” (which was covered by Martha Reeves and Angela Bofill), Sharon Cuneta and Isaac Hayes. Rachel Ann Go also recorded the song. A cinema film titled “This Time, I’ll a Sweeter1] was released on November 8, 2017 with “This Time, I’ll a Sweeter” being its title.

Haras says: “I was greatly influenced by Dee Murray and James Jamerson as well as Bob Babbitt. I used Bob Babbitt’s musical vocabulary before I was able to express myself musically on the bass. Babbitt was a radio DJ who appeared to play on every fourth song – not a bad role model. So I didn’t mind if other bassists mocked me. I was always hired, and they weren’t! I used to ritually Babbittize myself before playing. Surprisingly, I was able to ‘Babbittize” better than my first Sister Sledge recordings. It was hard to describe the shock I felt when I discovered that Mr. Bob Babbitt was actually the ‘big guy in the apple hat’. I didn’t say anything, but I watched everything and then I played bass as sensitively I could, trying not to be intimidated by a Musical Giant like Bob Babbitt. Sometimes, I was unfairly praised for playing on songs Babbitt performed, especially the big hits. Babbitt is a legend. He has made hits for more than 50 years and still sets the standard for bass playing on the radio. Babbitt had several hits records when I was 8 years old. It was impossible to listen to the radio for more than 15 minutes without hearing “Funk Brother Bob Babbitt’s Fender Flair.”

Fyre and Guthrie were often rejected by producers and artists who sought songs. Fyre wrote a final song for the company one week later without Guthrie. It was “Satan’s Daughter”, which appeared on the GG album by British Glam Rocker Gary Glitter. Fyre’s other works with Fleming Williams, who sang the 1974 hit “Rock the Boat”, were abandoned. Marion Ramsey, a Police Academy actress, was also involved in the development of the song. Michael R. Colicchio’s film compositions were also abandoned.

Fyre met Gwen Guthrie, a pianist and vocalist, in 1971 when he joined the Matchmakers. They fell in love, and they moved in together. The Matchmakers’ saxophonist James Wheeler, and trumpeter Jerome McCoggle formed the New York City-based band “East Coast,” which was founded by Larry Blackmon, future founder of Cameo.

As a teenager, Fyre ‘permanently borrowed’ his brother’s trombone and learned to play the instrument by playing along with recordings made famous by the band Chicago. Later, admirers who associated Fyre’s trombone playing with the style of Chicago’s trombonist “James Pankow,” nicknamed Fyre “Chicago.” During Fyre’s stint with a popular East Orange, New Jersey band known as Parkway North, Fyre’s passion for the bass nearly overtook his interest in the trombone. Parkway North’s bassist – “Romeo Williams”(† April 8, 2017) (who later would play bass and tour with Elton John, Brian Eno, Patrice Rushen and others) lent his prized Baldwin Bass to Fyre and patiently taught Fyre a few rudiments on the instrument.
