Hanna Akiva is one of the most popular and richest Activist who was born on April 4, 1974 in Herzliya, Israel. Hannah Akiva (Hebrew : HnhkybA; April 4, 1974) was an Israeli social activist. She is a leader of the “The Disabled Panthers”, a struggle for minimum wages in Israel. After having paid social insurance over their years of working, Akiva has been a social activist. “The Organization for advancing rights of disabled people” is a registered association that was established in October 22, 2017. Akiva, a disabled woman, has been a member of “The Disabled Panthers”.
Akiva and Eyal Cohen, along with other Panthers, blocked the southern entrance of the Prime Minister’s Residence (Beit Aghion), on Balfour Street in Jerusalem on October 17, 2017. Nicole Raidman approached Akiva, and her entrance was also blocked. Raidman presented Akiva with 2,000 ILS. This caused a media storm. However, Akiva gave the entire amount to the Panthers expenses. Raidman visited Akiva the next day with Galit Gutmann and stated that she couldn’t believe what she had heard. Akiva and Raidman reconnected on Rademan’s radio program, “100FM” a week later.
On October 3, 2017, while blocking the entrance to Port of Ashdod in the morning, Akiva received a traffic ticket from the police, and an additional ticket afterward, when she drove at speed of 5 Kilometres per hour from Ashdod to north on Route 431 (Israel). As a result, she blocked the Ayalon Highway at the Holot interchange near Rishon LeZion at evening. Akiva refused to clear the road and demanded that her tickets would be canceled. The police used a force upon Akiva and also towed Akiva vehicle. Akiva laid down on the road and police called an ambulance, which evicted her to Wolfson Medical Center.
On September 17, 2017, a driver attacked Akiva during a blockage on Highway 4 near Hadera, after she had prevented him from driving on the sidewalk on his way to the hospital, and her arm was bandaged by a Magen David Adom team. The driver was arrested for questioning, and Akiva was interviewed on Channel Ten at five o’clock by Rafi Reshef. On September 27, 2017, the Israel Police arrested Yael Nitzav, an able-bodied activist who participated in the Panthers’ demonstration. In response, Akiva got out of her wheelchair, laid down on the road and hugged Nitzav. As a result, the police released Nitzav’s handcuffs.
Akiva fell onto the road after she was blocked Road 2 near Yakum Sharia region by Commander Yitzhak Menashe, Deputy Commander. Her right hand was severely injured by the fall. Her hand was bandaged by Superintendent Ariel Israelov (police officer at Kadima-Zoran Station).

From the middle of the tenth year, Akiva was a student at Israel Goldstein Youth Village in Jerusalem. She studied Hospitality management until then. She returned to Herzliya after her studies and served as a Signal Corps officer in the Israel Defense Forces at the Kirya’s supreme command. She had a daughter in 1997. In 1997, she had a daughter. On October 5, 2008, the National Insurance Institute gave her a disability rate at 76 percent. She is eligible for a general disability pension and mobility allowance, as well as a special service allowance to pay daily caregivers. On October 15, 2017, the disabled people traveled slowly with their wheelchairs on Road 2 (the coastal highway) near Netanya, and Akiva took Sasson Ozer, a chairman of the Herzliya disabled people club, who drove his wheelchair behind her on Road 2.
