Gunnar Jeannette (born May 5 1982 West Palm Beach, Florida) is an American racing driver who participates at the IMSA WeatherTech Championship for WeatherTech Racing. He was the winner of his first title in 2011’s American Le Mans Series season Drivers’ Championship LMPC and is the youngest ever driver to compete in his race in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Jeannette has become an enthusiast of extreme sports. Since 2004, he’s completed over 1,500 skydives as well as 200 BASE jumps from every corner of the world. Jeannette has also been a part of world records skydives as well as being seen on MTV, People Magazine, USA Today and several other national and local publications.

In 2005, Jeannette ran his first full season in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, finishing sixth in GS Points Standings with two victories to his credit driving for Multimatic Motorsports. He returned to full-time competition in 2010 with co-driver Frankie Montecalvo, finishing 10th in the GS class championship.

After making a handful of starts in 2008 for Corsa Motorsports, Jeannette returned to full-time ALMS competition in 2010 in the new LMPC class. Driving for his father’s Green Earth Team Gunnar outfit, Jeannette became the first LMPC pole winner in series history. He went on to win four races with Elton Julian and finish 2nd in the Drivers Championship that year.

Jeannette was the first Jeannette to make his American Le Mans Series debut in 2000, securing six top-10 finishes over seven races with both Prototype as well as GT classes. In 2002 Jeannette completed the LMP900 race debut on the Panoz. Panoz prior to joining the factory-supported JML Team Panoz squad in 2003, and he recorded his highest-ever overall score with a third place (2nd for category) on the track at Mosport.

Jeannette began his career with his debut in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series GTU class at the 2000 Rolex 24 at Daytona. He took home his first Rolex Series race one year later in the GTS class, and has since made only sporadic appearances within the race.
