Espeseth was signed by an organization called the pro Women’s United Soccer Association (WUSA) before the first year in 2001. She was assigned the club New York Power alongside compatriot Ann Kristin Aarones. A knee injury meant she could only play one season before deciding to retire.

She played for club Sandviken and Trondheims-Orn and made her debut for Norway’s national team in 1991. Norwegian Norway national side in the year 1991 and played 105 matches for the national team.
