Griffin McMaster (born 2 June 1983) is an Australian footballer who is goalkeeper with FC Bulleen Lions in the National Premier Leagues Victoria. McMaster is famous for his request to a well-known Aboriginal player, Adam Goodes, to be exiled from Australia.
Near the end of the 2011. Victorian Premier League season, McMaster was on trial for Melbourne Heart. McMaster broke his tibia during Round 19 in the Victorian Premier League against Northcote City and was unable to play until the end of October.
On 30 November 2012, McMaster joined the Wellington Phoenix for a second injury replacement stint this time as cover for Glen Moss.
In March 2012, McMaster signed with sport marketing company Upper90 Sports for 2 years. He also made a successful recovery from his broken leg for Moreland Zebras against South Melbourne in the Victorian Premier League. He left Moreland Zebras at the end of round 19 to join Bentleigh Greens for the remainder of the season.
McMaster had limited playing times under Coach Farina prior to the dismissal of coach Farina in October of 2009. Ange Postecoglou was named the new coach, and Reddy was struck by another injury. McMaster played in 12 games under Postecoglou before being released in March 2010 by Brisbane Roar in March 2010 and then signed with Victorian Premier League club Oakleigh Cannons. In August of 2010, McMaster was signed by Wellington Phoenix on an injury deal to replace injured goalie Reece Crowther.

McMaster began playing for McMaster’s team Palm Beach Sharks and Surfers Paradise before joining his current team, the Queensland Lions. In 2005 the A-League was created as well as Queensland Roar (now Brisbane Roar) received a licence to participate in the new competition with eight teams. McMaster was a player for the club under coach Miron Bleiberg. He also was a part of the Brisbane state league with Brisbane City as well as Mt Gravatt. Then, in July of 2007 McMaster was appointed as an alternative to injured goalie Matt Ham under new coach Frank Farina. McMaster was an understudy for Liam Reddy.
After sustaining injuries (broken thumb) to goalie Liam Reddy, McMaster made his A-League debut on the 5th of January 2008, against Melbourne Victory and was named the man of the game. McMaster performed a second man of the match display in the same season, playing in a finals match in the finals against Sydney FC. McMaster was substituted by Reddy during the subsequent game However, he was able to sign for two additional seasons.
McMaster signed for Heidelberg United to play in the 2011 season and won Victorian Premier League keeper of the year.
