He was chosen in the fourth selection (127th in the overall) during the 2000 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. He played for the college team in the state of Michigan at Michigan State.

After being released by the Texans, Randall was pursued by the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins before signing with the San Francisco 49ers on April 20, 2004 and attended their training-camp until he was released on June 16. On August 2, 2004 after being released by the 49ers, Randall signed with the St. Louis Rams. He attended the training camp and played in all four pre-season games, however he was released on September 13. He was signed by the Cleveland Browns on February 15, 2005. He then attended the Browns’ training camp and played in all four pre-season games. However, he was one of Cleveland’s final cuts when he was released on September 3.
As a senior in 1999, Randall was an All-Big Ten First-team selection. He played at the right tackle position and helped the offense to average 368.2 minutes per game. there were 87 knockdowns. He had 13 knockdowns including two blocks that resulted in touchdowns in a 23-yard passing play and another one that cleared the route for T. J. Duckett’s 4-yard run to the goal line, while the team posted 492 yards in the game against Eastern Michigan University. The team finished with a 10-2 record, which was the school’s record for wins since 1965. The team also concluded its season in a win of 37-34 against Florida at the 1999 Citrus Bowl. Additionally, studying at Michigan State, he majored in Kinesiology.
