Greg Childs (born March 10 1990) is an ex- American football receiver. After playing for the college team of Arkansas He was selected to the Vikings in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Childs was selected as the number four pick of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings.

Childs was signed to the Toronto Argonauts practice roster on September 10,

2014. He was released by the Argonauts on September 27, 2014.

In May 2014, Childs went to Jaguars Rookie Mini-Camp on a tryout basis. He was not offered a contract.

On the 3rd August 2012 Childs was injured to his knees in training camp. A MRI showed that both knees were suffering from an injured patellar tendon in the process Childs was forced to withdraw from the full rookie season. The Vikings were forced to release or hurt Childs the 5th of August, 2012 and he was then moved back to the injured reserve the 8th of August.

Childs was a student at Warren High School located in Warren, Arkansas, where he played basketball, football, and was a track runner. He was a student with his future University of Arkansas and Minnesota Vikings teammate Jarius Wright, as well as Buffalo Bill player Chris Gragg. He was selected all-state as an undergraduate in 2007. In the track, Childs was a standout triple jumper (top-jump of 13.60 meters).

In 2008, as a freshman, Childs played in 12 games and started one. He received 18 receptions, resulting in 273 yards with two scores. In his sophomore year Childs played in thirteen games in a row and was the team’s leader with 48 receptions, totalling 7 touchdowns and 894 yards. As a junior in the year 2010 He played in eight games, and scored Six touchdowns and 46 receptions, before being diagnosed with a season-ending Patellar tendon tear.

On August 27, 2013, Childs was placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform list.
