Gregory James Bownds (born 20 February 1977) more popularly known as his TNT, his ring name TNT is an Australian professional promoter and wrestler. He is who is currently the owner and promoter of the Australasian Wrestling Federation.

Then, in November of 2002 TNT won its title of AWF Australasian Heavyweight Championship after beating Il Cognito, in a 30 minute Iron Man match.

Throughout 2005 Bownds feuded with Hilton, Scotty Club and Dean Draven. He also toured Australia, wrestling as part of the World Series Wrestling events (marketed as International Assault), defeating American stars Frankie Kazarian and Super Dragon in a triple threat match at the New South Wales show.

In mid-2006 Greg toured Japan where he wrestled as Aussie Ozbone in Pro Wrestling Zero1-Max, he wrestled alongside TNA stars such as Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin.

Through the end of 2002 and early the year 2003 Bownds visited Mexico and learned about Lucha libre. Lucha libero wrestling technique in the presence of Rey Misterio, Sr. and Phobia Two of the sport’s most well-known wrestlers.

Bownds wrestled in the ring as “Tommy the Cat” and later “TNT Kid” for World Wide Wrestling and Australian Championship Wrestling. He was the winner of Australia’s Australian Tag Team Championship with Kiss but left the organization following an incident backstage, and then vacated the title. In 1998, Bownds took on Mark Mercedes for the ACW Australian Heavyweight title in Fairfield, New South Wales when the age was 21. From there, Bownds made the move towards International Wrestling Australia in 1998 which was where he became a recognizable persona. A sprain in his ankle forced Bownds out for six months from 1999, until he was able to form an organization called the Australasian Wrestling Association.

In 1999, Bownds created the AWF and performed in Australia with some of the biggest names in the business, including Sabu, Marty Jannetty, Super Dragon and Chris Candido. Bownds has had the greatest impact in the AWF, and has been wrestling in, and been booked into, the AWF since it was founded since 1999. In August 2001, Bownds (wrestling in the ring as TNT) won an 8-man event to be the AWF Australasian Champion, defeating Lobo in the finals. He was being the champion for the next twelve months, before losing the title in the finals to Il Cognito.

In April 2004, TNT attempted to regain the AWF Heavyweight Championship in a championship-crowning fatal fourway match after the title was vacated by the injured Il Cognito. In the match finale TNT was pinned by high flyer Mark Hilton.
