Godfrey Walusimbi is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on July 3, 1989 in Kampala, Uganda. Godfrey Walusimbi (born 3 July 1989) is a Ugandan professional footballer who has most recently played with Kaizer Chiefs in the Premier Soccer League. On the international stage Walusimbi is part of his country’s Uganda National team. He is a left defender however , he has been utilized in several roles in the past by Bobby Williamson for the national team. The only Ugandan footballer to be involved in over 100 international games.
Then, in January of 2013, he quit Bunamwaya to join DR Congo side CS Don Bosco. After spending a few months there and then he decided to end his contract due to the conditions at work. He was able to return to his former club SC Villa.
In September 2019, Walusimbi joined Albanian Superliga side KF Vllaznia Shkodër on a one-year contract.
In December of 2013, Walusimbi became a part of Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia who were the team was coached by the former Uganda head coach of the national side Bobby Williamson.

On September 4, 2010 Walusimbi became the Uganda first national squad debut at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola to replace injury- stricken Nestory Kizito. On April 16, 2011, he led the Uganda U23 team win an impressive 2-1 victory in the first leg against Tanzania at the All Africa Games qualifier with an impressive performance. He scored the opening goal thanks to some inventive action on the left side. On the 4th of June, 2011 He made a goal against Guinea-Bissau in an important game in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match. It was the first goal in a 2-0 victory for the cranes, which was enough to see them win Group J in front of an enthralled crowd at the Mandela National Stadium.
In June 2011, Walusimbi traveled to Sweden to take part in a two-week trial with the Allsvenskan team BK Hacken.
In August 2018, Walusimbi moved to South African Premier Division club Kaizer Chiefs, signing a three-year contract. The reported cost of the transfer was around 4.4 million South African rand. He made his league debut for the club on 18 September 2018, playing all ninety minutes in a 2–0 away victory over Free State Stars. In January 2019, Walusimbi left the club, electing to return home to his native Uganda.
