Germar Rudolf is one of the most popular and richest Holocaust Denier who was born on October 29, 1964 in Lemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Germar Rudolf, better known as Germar Scheererer (born 30 October 1964) is a German scientist and a known Holocaust denier.
The year 1995 was the time Rudolf received a sentence of 14 months of prison time in the Stuttgart district court in Stuttgart in Stuttgart for “inciting racial hatred” via the “Rudolf Report”, as Holocaust denial is a crime violation in Germany. Rudolf was able to escape prison by going in Spain, England, and eventually in America. United States. He was first married with an German national , with who he had two children and settled in Hastings in England until they divorced , and she moved back to Germany with their children.
On 11 September 2004, Rudolf married a US citizen and settled in Chicago; the couple later had a child. He applied for political asylum, or at least for the right not to be expelled, but this was rejected in November 2004 on the basis that the application had no merits and was a case of frivolous litigation. Rudolf appealed against this ruling, and in early 2006 the US Federal Court in Atlanta found that his application was not “frivolous”, but upheld the decision that it had no merit. The Immigration Services said that Rudolf did not have a right to file an application to remain with his family. On 14 November 2005, Rudolf was extradited to Germany where he was wanted for incitement of racial hatred (Volksverhetzung). On arrival there, he was arrested by the police and transferred to a prison in Rottenburg, then to another in Stuttgart in Baden-Württemberg.
All the while, criminal investigations continued in Germany. In August 2004, the district court of Mannheim distrained a bank account in an attempt to confiscate 55% of Rudolf’s business turnover from the years 2001-2004, some €214,000, but at that time the account contained only some €5,000. Rudolf and his associates had earned this money by selling Holocaust denial publications which are banned in Germany, but Rudolf’s business was in the UK and the US.
In the year 1991, Rudolf began work on an article titled Report on the creation and verifiability of cyanide compounds within Auschwitz’s gas chambers. Auschwitz “gas chambers” on behalf of Dusseldorf lawyer Hajo Herrmann who was a ex- Luftwaffe pilot. In 1993, the work was covered in the media and Rudolf was warned not to visit into the Max Planck Institute again without authorization. If he violated the rules the institute terminated his employment without notice. In 1994, the termination was changed to an agreement to terminate the employment. In 1996 it was reported that the University of Stuttgart asked Rudolf to withdraw his application to take an end-of-course PhD exam, or else the application would be rejected which would render his PhD thesis ineffective. The legal basis is an German law that permits universities to withdraw or deny academic degrees when a student utilized their academic qualifications or information to commit an offense. Rudolf later retracted his application.

Rudolf is a native of Limburg an der Lahn, Hesse. In 1983, he completed an Abitur in Remscheid after which he pursued the subject of chemistry in Bonn where he graduated from the university in 1989, earning a Master’s. While a student He joined the A.V. Tuisconia Konigsberg zu Bonn and the K.D.St.V. Nordgau Prag zu Stuttgart, Catholic fraternities of the Cartellverband. After his support for the CSU/CDU He then became an active participant in the Republicans. Following his service in the German Air Force, in October 1990, he joined the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart where he wrote an academic thesis for his PhD.
From 1991 to 1994 Herrmann and other lawyers utilized Rudolf’s Auschwitz report to defend Holocaust denialists, including Otto Ernst Remer, a former Wehrmacht officer who was charged for Volksverhetzung (inciting the hatred of). Rudolf knew that his work would be linked to Holocaust denial, but he maintained that even Remer had the right to defend himself legally. Rudolf declared that his findings in Auschwitz as well as Birkenau “completely shattered his world view”. In addition, the report asserts that only small trace amounts of cyanide compounds could be observed in the samples from Auschwitz. Yet, Richard Green and Jamie McCarthy from The Holocaust History Project have critiqued the report, saying that , like Fred Leuchter in the Leuchter report, Rudolf did not discriminate against the formation of iron- based compounds, which aren’t an accurate indicator for the existence of cyanide therefore, his study was severely flawed.
After Rudolf was dismissed from the Max Planck Institute, he began to publish books promoting Holocaust denial. He founded Castle Hill Publishers in 1997 based in Hastings, England with Theses & Dissertations Press as its American outlet. In 2000, Rudolf initiated an English language Holocaust Handbooks Series, a series of Holocaust denial titles which, as of 2013, encompassed 25 titles. Furthermore, Rudolf is closely associated with the Belgian Holocaust denial organization Vrij Historisch Onderzoek (VHO). Until his arrest in late 2005, he published the now defunct “Vierteljahreshefte für freie Geschichtsforschung” (Quarterly journal for free historical research), described by the German Office for the Protection of the Constitution as “a right-wing extremist organ.”
