God puts people in my life that are going to help me no matter the situation. He’s put coaches in my life that are going to help me out and further my career. Everything, it seems, is working out for the better. I know it might not seem like that … but when you look deeper and deeper into bowl games and championships, (God) did this for a reason.”

In High School, Hodges was also a captain of the the track and field team. As wrestler, he placed 3rd in state championships with an overall record of 40-1 as an undergrad. In track and field, he participated as part of the relay teams, and recorded personal best time that were 43.84 seconds for the 100m relay relay and 1:32.58 seconds in the 200m relay race at the 2007 South Jersey Relays. He also ran 4.46 seconds for the 40 yard run.
