George “Georginho” Lucas Alves de Paula (born on May 24 in 1996) is more commonly referred to as Georginho is an Brazilian professional player of basketball who plays for Paulistano/Corpore of Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB).
In April 2017, the deadline for entry, de Paula decided to declare his name for his 2017 NBA draft. A few months later De Paula became one of just 10 international underclassmen who confirmed his entry to in the NBA Draft that year. In the end, he was not able to be selected in the year this year, but he played with the Houston Rockets in 2017 NBA Summer League. He later signed an agreement for training camp to the Rockets on the 27th of September the following year. De Paula would then be one of four players ejected by the club on the 13th of October. In the following period, de Paula would sign with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers for the remainder of the season.
De Paula played with Brazil’s under-17 national team at the 2013 FIBA South American Under-17 Championship, where he won a bronze medal. He represented his country’s under-18 national team, at the 2014 FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship.
De Paula has been a player on his senior Brazilian nation’s basketball squad. In Brazil the team, he was a participant at the 2017 FIBA AmeriCup.

De Paula made his professional debut with E.C. Pinheiros, Brazil’s top-tier league known as the NBB in the season 2013-14. In April of 2015 de Paula entered the 2015 NBA draft. De Paula then resigned from the draft before the deadline to remove himself from the draft.
In 2016, he joined Brazilian League club Club Athletico Paulistano.
On June 11, 2018, de Paula returned to Paulistano.
