Gary Mackay (born 23 January 1964 in Edinburgh) is a Scottish former professional footballer who made more than 500 league appearances with Heart of Midlothian and also was a member of Airdrieonians as well as in the Scotland National team. After his retirement as an athlete, he was the manager of Airdrie for a period of one year. Mackay has since become an SFA registered agent.

Mackay has since been an agent for players such as Garry O’Connor, Christophe Berra and Lee Wallace. Mackay was criticized for his previous team Hearts in June of 2011 in the Official Hearts website. “Over a short space of time 4 players at our club have been on the wrong end of the law.
