He is most famous for scoring a 64-yard field goal that sent Tarleton into overtime against Texas A&M Kingsville during his senior season.
Lindholm joined his team the Atlanta Falcons in 2013, but was cut in July. Lindholm was removed from waivers by the Indianapolis Colts, where he was a part of three preseason games, mostly as the kickoff specialist. He was released prior of the Colts third preseason match.
On August 12, 2015, Lindholm was assigned to the Orlando Predators.
On March 26, 2015, Lindholm was assigned to the New Orleans VooDoo. When the VooDoo ceased operations August 9, 2015, Lindholm became a free agent.
