Garrett Festerling (born March 3 in 1986) is an ice hockey professional who is contracted to Grizzlys Wolfsburg of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). In December of 2011, Festerling made his debut as a member of the German Men’s National Team in an exhibition match against Russia.
He resigned from the team following the season’s championship to seek more playing time. He then was signed by with the Hamburg Freezers for the 2010-11 campaign. Festerling transformed into a major player in the Freezers team and got his identical twin brother Brett who joined the Freezers in April 2014. Garrett signed a four-year extended for the Freezers in June 2014. The Freezers went out of business in May 2016 and made Festerling an unrestricted free agent. Just a few days after, he was taken over by a different DEL squad, Adler Mannheim. He signed a 3-year contract with the Adler company.

In 2007 Festerling made the move across the water to compete professionally in Germany and played the 2007-08 campaign with EV Fussen, a team that plays in the third division of Germany. Festerling was the league’s top scorer scoring scores of 50 and 70 across 45 games. He also was recognized as the Oberliga player of the year by eishockeynews.de.
His exceptional performances in the Fussen team caught the eye to teams in that German premier league Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Festerling finally joined the Hannover Scorpions in 2008, joining the DEL team on a three-year contract. In his second season in Hannover, Festerling saw action in 18 games on the way towards taking home the German championship with the Scorpions.
During the final season of his contract with Adler in 2018–19, Festerling signed in advance for the 2019–20 season, agreeing to a two-year contract with rival club Grizzlys Wolfsburg on January 19, 2019. He proceeded to contribute offensively with Adler, enjoying his most productive season with the club with 33 points in 52 games and helping claim the DEL championship in the playoffs.
