In the beginning of the year 2006 Menechino was signed to a minor league deal with the Cincinnati Reds, but did not get a chance to make his way to the Major League team out of spring training. In August of 2006 Menechino signed an minor league contract with the New York Yankees and was assigned to Triple-A Columbus Clippers where he was a utility player. On February 10 of 2007, Menechino signed an minor league contract to the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies let him go on June 1st, 2007 after which his contract was taken over from the San Diego Padres and being assigned to the Triple-A Portland Beavers on June 9 the 9th of June, 2007. He was released after the season.
