After finishing his studies at Harvard and moving in Chicago and began working with Murphy/Jahn. Francisco Gonzalez-Pulido (born in February 1970) is an Mexican architect who is renowned for his evocative but rational design philosophy. From 1992 until 1998, he was working as an independent architect, and then in 1999, he joined Chicago company “Murphy/Jahn” (which he renamed JAHN in 2012). He has been involved in many different types of buildings, with an emphasis on focus upon the architecture of tall buildings as well as airports across America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. After working for a while alongside Helmut Jahn, he became the company’s first partner in 2009 and its president in 2012. In the autumn of 2017 Francisco Gonzalez Pulido left JAHN to create his own global architecture firm, FGP Atelier.
Since his childhood, he’s been interested in both technology and art, however at the age of a young, was a fan of becoming a rock and roll artist. He continues to write and record his own music. He also collects vintage guitars as well as amplifiers. When he was a teenager, he made the decision to attend college to become an architect at the age of was 17. He attended Tec de Monterrey in Monterrey from 1987 until 1991, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture. After working independently for a few months and then returning to university in order to gain knowledge about cutting-edge designs to be able to tackle larger projects. Between 1998 and 1999, the Harvard School of Design and obtained his master’s degree.
After a series of successful projects and in close collaboration with Helmut Jahn, he became Jahn’s first partner in 2009. In 2012 he was named president of the firm, in charge of design, management, operations and business development.
