Sandra (Sandy) Pisani OAM (born 23 January 1959) is an Australian former field hockey player who played in 85 international matches for Australia and served as captain from 1985 until 1987. She was a participant during the 1984 Summer Olympics and was part of the team which won the country’s very first Olympic Gold Medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics.
In 1985 and 1992, she won the Association Medal for South Australia’s Best and Fairest Player.
As part of the Queen’s birthday honours in June 1989, Sandy was given the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for service to the sport of hockey.

in 1976 Sandy began playing A-grade club hockey with Burnside Hockey Club when she was 17 years old. She played on 8 (8) successful A Grade Premiership teams for 15 years (including four teams in the span of five seasons) with Burnside in the years 1976 1977, 1977, 1979 1980, 1982 1986, and 1990. She was named the Burnside Hockey Club’s Best and Fairest in 1987 and 1985 and was granted Life Membership by Burnside Hockey Club in 2002.
She was a player with South Australia at senior state at South Australia’s South Australian Australian Hockey League team, known as the Southern Suns for 12 years and was captain for five years. She played from 1978 to 1983, from 1985 until 1989 and in 1992.
She is recognized on the South Australian Sports Institute Hockey Honour Roll for her 1988 Olympic Gold Medal.
