Rodolfo Bottino is one of the most popular and richest Actor who was born on February 11, 1959 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Rodolfo Bottino, an Italian descendant, was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on February 11, 1959. His father requested that he study Engineering at Fluminense Federal University. However, he never pursued the career. In 1979, he started acting in the first plays at the university’s theater. Rede Globo discovered him in 1984 and he made his debut as an actor on the Telenovela Livre para Voar. However, his breakthrough was the 1986 miniseries Anos Dorados as Lauro. He continued acting on Rede Globo telenovelas like Bambole and Bebe a Bordo in the 1980s. He collaborated with Oswaldo Caldeira, a filmmaker, on his 1990s films Tiradentes (as Joaquim Silverio dos Reis), and Pampulha ou A Invencao do Mar de Minas. He appeared in an episode on the TV series Mandrake in 2005. He was last seen in O Homem do Futuro (2011) as a bartender.

Bottino shared many details about his private life with O Globo in a May 2009 interview. Bottino claimed that he had anorexia nervosa in his youth and that he was diagnosed with AIDS sometime during the 1990s. He was also bisexual. Bottino was also diagnosed in 2000 with lung cancer. However, he was declared cancer-free after treatment in 2006.

Alexandre Lippiani was his cousin, and he died in a car accident May 24, 1997.

Rodolfo Bottino, (February 11, 1959 – December 11, 2011, 2011) was a Brazilian actor in film, television, and theatre, as well as a chef.

Bottino was also a chef, in addition to his acting career. Bottino’s passion for cooking started at age five. He later traveled to France to study at Le Cordon Bleu, a renowned French culinary school. He owned “Madrugada”, a restaurant in Rio de Janeiro from 1986 to 1994. He hosted TV Shoptime’s cooking shows in the 2000s and gave culinary lessons.

Towards the end of his life Bottino was living in Salvador, Bahia. On December 11, 2011, he died following a pulmonary embolism while he prepared for a surgery both in his hip and his femur. His body was then taken to Rio de Janeiro and buried at the St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
