Perron was picked to The Ottawa Senators in the seventh round, 190th overall at the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
In the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, on June 22nd, Perron was traded along with a seventh round pick for a seventh-round pick by the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for six-round picks as well as right to Tom Pyatt. On July 8, 2019, Perron signed a one-year 2-way deal to Vancouver Canucks until the end of the year 2019-20.
