France Saint-Louis (born October 17 the 17th of October, 1958) is a player on the team for 1998 of Canadian female Olympic hockey squad. The athlete graduated at University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education. She was an instructor for more than 12 years in both the secondary and high school levels before participating at the Olympic games. At the age of 40 she decided to leave the Canadian Olympic Program to launch her own hockey academy. Since 2008, she’s been working alongside Daniele Sauvageau, who is the coach of Montreal Carabins. Montreal Carabins women’s ice hockey program.
Part of the IIHF Ambassador and Mentor Program, St. Louis was one of the Hockey Canada coaching mentor that traveled from Bratislava, Slovakia to participate in the 2011 IIHF High Performance Women’s Camp between July 4 and 12.
In 2010, St. Louis was consultant in The Montreal Carabins women’s ice hockey program.

in the 80s St. Louis competed in The Ferland Quatre Glaces (first based in Brossard and later Repentigny) team of the League Regionale du Hockey au Feminin in the province of Quebec. She took part at the 1987 Women’s World Hockey Tournament and was the top scorer in Canada. St. Louis was a part of Canada’s Canadian Hockey Team from 1990 until 1999. She was one of the very first women’s team that won silver in the IIHF Women’s World Championships. She took home an award of gold at 1996’s Three-Nation Cup and the gold medal at the 1996 Pacific Rim. She also served as the assistant coach of Team Quebec at the 1991 Canada Winter Games. France St. Louis was the Most Valuable Player of the 1998 Esso Nationals as Team Quebec placed third and was awarded the Maureen MacTeer Trophy.
Alongside hockey, St. Louis was an excellent lacrosse player. She played for the Canadian Team from 1985 to 1989. She was a participant at the World Championships in Australia (1989) and also the World Championships in Philadelphia (1986) in which Canada was fourth in the standings. St. Louis was part of the team that took home the Gold medal at the Canadian Championships in 1989.
