On the 27th of January, 2012 Cuvelier was signed by League One side Walsall on the loan for a month. Cuvelier made his debut for the club the following day with Notts County. Cuvelier scored his first career goal in the league at Oldham Athletic in a 2-1 loss in Boundary Park. After his impressive performance in front of “Saddlers” manager Dean Smith, Cuvelier extended his loan to the end of the season 2011-12. He was nominated to award of the League One Player of the Month award due to his performances in March of 2012. He was recalled to Stoke after playing 18 games for Walsall and scored four goals. He signed a two-year deal for Stoke in May 2012.
Speaking in January 2014, Walsall Advertiser reporter Michael Beardmore described Cuvelier as “a creative, energetic attacking midfielder and… for such a young player he had a really mature head on his shoulders.
He made just nine appearances across the 2015–16 campaign but was publicly praised by manager Nigel Adkins in November and February for his “first class attitude”. He was released by new manager Chris Wilder in May 2016.
Cuvelier came back to Walsall on a loan deal of six months from July to July. The Frenchman scored against former club Portsmouth on the 15th of September, 2012, scoring a 2-1 victory. He was involved in 17 games during his second time in the Bescot Stadium and scored three goals. On the 27th March 2013 Cuvelier joined Championship club Peterborough United on loan until the close in the season 2012-13. Cuvelier played one game with Peterborough and then returned to Stoke in the final game of the season. He was as a substitute for the very first time in the game against Southampton during the last game of the 2012-13 season.

Cuvelier began playing football with his club Mouscron before making the move to England to join Portsmouth’s youth squad. He stayed for only a year in the south of England until he joined Stoke City in July 2010. He turned down contract offers by Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham. Cuvelier was a part of the 2010-11 season at the academy before making an established player with the reserves.
Cuvelier began his career at Mouscron before signing with his club in the Academy of English side Portsmouth. Because of the Portsmouth financial problems, Cuvelier was signed by Stoke City in the summer of 2010. The club at Stoke Cuvelier has been working on loan with Walsall in addition to Peterborough United. He signed with Sheffield United in September 2013 for an undisclosed sum. He was signed by Port Vale on loan in January 2014 and was injured badly during the loan time. When he was back in good health, the player was loaned for Burton Albion in March 2015. He joined Walsall in June of 2016 and was there over two years. He moved to Morecambe for a brief time in October of 2018.
On 2 September 2013, Cuvelier joined League One side Sheffield United on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee. He started six games at the start of the 2013–14 campaign under manager David Weir but lost his first team place after Nigel Clough took charge in October; Clough stated that Cuvelier was available to go out on loan during the January transfer window. On 16 January 2014, he joined league rivals Port Vale on loan until the end of the season. Manager Micky Adams stated that “He’s had very little football at Sheffield United so if there is one worry it is that maybe he might need four or five games to get himself up to full speed. Really we can’t afford four or five games, we need him to hit the floor running if he possibly can.” He made his debut at Vale Park three days later, but was forced to leave the pitch on a stretcher on 36 minutes after picking up a knee injury. He was later ruled out for the rest of the season after it was found that he had torn his anterior cruciate ligament.
