Flemming Sogaard Pvlsen (born on December 3, 1966) is an Danish former professional footballer who was forward for Borussia Dortmund in Germany, alongside other teams. He is currently working as a an expert in football on TV.

After an announcement of his resignation, Flemming Povlsen was appointed sports director of Danish 1st Division team FC Aarhus in December 2001. When the club was going through economic cuts in November 2002 Povlsen suggested stepping down and the club agreed to accept. He played football in lower leagues in Brabrand before moving to the old-boys squad at his former club, Aarhus GF. He joined the club in March of 2005 and joined as an assistant coach for Danish Superliga club AC Horsens. In July 2009, he was hired as the Assistant Coach of Randers FC but resigned on 6 October 2009, when manager John Jensen was sacked. He is also teaching teenager students at a soccer school named Hessel Gods Fodboldkostskole in Jutland.

Povlsen began playing football in the his hometown town Viby and then moved to Danish top team AGF Aarhus in 1984. He was awarded the Danish 1st Division Revelation Award in 1985. received with the Danish 1st Division Remark Of The Year. He emigrated to Europe in 1986 when he joined Spanish Club Castilla CF, the reserve team of numerous European winners Real Madrid. While at Castilla the club, he made his debut with the Danish national team in the 5-0 victory against Greece in the 1988 Olympic Games qualifier. After just a few months playing at CF Castilla, Povlsen moved into 1. FC Koln in Germany, where he was a teammate of his fellow Dane Morten Olsen. While he wasn’t a leading goal scorer his speed and determination to work impressed the crowd, and he was awarded two silver medals as the Koln team was second in the 1988-89 as well as the 1989-1990 Bundesliga seasons. Povlsen was not able to take part in more than three games for Koln during the 1989-90 season however, since he was purchased by Dutch team PSV Eindhoven in 1989. He spent the rest of the season with PSV and went to take home the Dutch cup, and finished third at the top of the League. He returned to Germany and was a regular in Borussia Dortmund in the year 1990.
