Fawad Alam is one of the most popular and richest Cricketer who was born on October 8, 1985 in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Fawad Tariq (Urdu: fwd lm born on 8 October 1985) is a Pakistani cricketer. He is from Karachi and is predominantly left-handed but also plays an orthodox left- handed left arm that is a handy and slow. He was only in three test matches, where the team scored 250 runs at the average being 41.66 Alam is a late middle order batsman for domestic cricket. However, in all three tests he was opener and third batsman.
Alam was selected to be a part of the team against England in the 2010 World Cup and was keen to take advantage of the opportunity to be selected for the two upcoming tours and to be picked to play in the Cricket World Cup. Alam also said that he played some the club game in England to adjust to English conditions as well as to prepare for the World Cup. Alam was a good scorer in the opening two games but his breakthrough was at the end of the 3rd One-Day International when he increased his highest scores to 64. Alam was then able to keep his spot in the ODI series against South Africa in the UAE. After scoring 123 in the five match series the player was then removed from the ODI squad and, later in the year was dropped from the T20 team following his tour of New Zealand.
After being dropped from all formats for three and a half years, his impressive displays domestically (most notably being the top run scorer in the President’s One Day Trophy in the season 2013/14) earned him a deserved recall to the national side for the Asia Cup in 2014. His first match after his recall was against the host team Bangladesh, deputising for the injured Sharjeel Khan. He contributed significantly to the team’s victory, scoring 74 runs from 70 balls in a competitive chase of 326. He continued his form by scoring his maiden international ODI hundred (114*) against Sri Lanka in the final, rescuing his side from 18/3 to 260/5 with the help of Misbah-ul-Haq and Umar Akmal. His effort was not enough though as Sri Lanka successfully chased the target to become the champions of the 2014 Asia Cup.
After Pakistan’s disappointing World Cup campaign, Alam was drafted into a 16-man squad for a One Day International series against Sri Lanka in Abu Dhabi. His debut in the 3rd ODI was one to forget, he was caught and bowled by Dilhara Fernando for a first ball duck.
On July 9, 2009 Fawad made history as the only Pakistani cricketer to make a Test century in his debut at home away from home, and the tenth player to achieve a century in his debut. The second test of second Test against Sri Lanka, Fawad scored 168 runs. This was the second-highest score for a debutant in Pakistan and before that, Yasir Hameed collected 170 runs in 2003 , in Karachi. He and captain Younus Khan recorded 200 runs in the second wickets team breaking earlier records with 151 runs by Mohsin Khan and Majid Khan in Lahore during 1981-82. This was also the highest-scoring combination in the history of Pakistan with Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka. It is also the 15th highest scores on a Test debut. This is also the most impressive score of the Pakistani making his debut on an unsuccessful team, previously set by Younus. In the end, only two tests after, he was removed out of the Test Squad.

Between those two games the player traveled in South Africa as part of Pakistan’s team for the 2007 ICC World Twenty20 tournament.
