Kirschenbaum was elected again in 2013 and was appointed to in the government of her new counterpart as the Deputy Minister for Internal Affairs on 18 March 2013. Kirschenbaum quit politics in January of 2015 following an investigation by the police into corruption.
Director general of the party before the elections of 2009, she was ranked 10th among the Yisrael Beiteinu list, and was elected to the Knesset after the party was able to win 15 seats. Along along with Likud MK Danny Danon she introduced the controversial law that would establish two panel of inquiry on human rights violations by left-wing NGOs and anti-occupation Israeli non- governmental organizations. After months of debate within Knesset and the Israeli media the law, which was which was resisted by the Netanyahu and the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and opposition leader Tzipi Livni was voted in opposition by Knesset.

In Lviv within the Soviet Union (today in Ukraine), Kirschenbaum made aliyah to Israel on the 31st of December 1973. She was a registered nurse in the Beilinson School of Nursing, and also obtaining the degree of BA in general studies at Thames Valley University, an MBA from the University of Derby, a certification in director’s training from Bar-Ilan University.
In 1981, she relocated into the Israeli settlement Nili within Nili, in the West Bank. She was the council’s secretary and was a member of the Mateh Binyamin Regional Council. She was also the vice chairwoman for the Israeli branch of the World Jewish Congress, and as an officer on the director’s board for the Museum of the Jewish Diaspora.
Kirschenbaum was one of several senior government officials arrested in December 2014 on charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust. Her trial opened in September 2017, during which she pled not guilty to all charges.
