Friberg was selected to participate in an annual camp of training of Sweden’s national team. Friberg began his career at Vastra Frolunda Before changing towards BK Hacken in January 2007. The player began his UEFA Europa League debut on 2 August 2007 in a game against KR Reykjavikur. The match ended in a 0-0 draw for Hacken. Hacken played for twenty minutes over two matches in the match against Spartak Moscow during the first round of the UEFA Cup.
