In July 2014, he was a part of Eredivisie team NAC Breda as an assistant coach. He was also able to keep his head coaching position in SC Gastel. On October 14, 2014 he was named the caretaker manager of NAC Breda following the dismissal of Nebojsa Gudelj.
In June 2012, he was appointed head coach at Dutch amateur team HSV Hoek, a position that he held until in November. In January 2013 the club announced that the appointment of him as director of Derde Klasse amateurs SC Gastel starting in July 2013 and he resigned in October of 2014.
Following his retirement, he was with RBC as a staff member, and was employed since January 2006 as an assistant coach. In June 2011 , he was set to be appointed as head coach for the first time but the plan didn’t come to fruition since the club was into bankruptcy. Hellemons was then able to join forces with the former RBC director Fuat Capa as an assistant manager at Genclerbirligi SK in Turkey.
