He finished his high-school studies in Haydarpasa High School. There, he was taught mandolin accordion, violin as well as Turkish traditional dance. In the time he was at Haydarpasa He founded the group Ercan Yavuz-Vahe in the year 1985 and were constantly competing in music competitions. After graduating from high school, he was an instructor in the Istanbul Technical University Turkish Conservatory of Contemporary Music. In the course of his studies, he became a TRT Eurovision finalist in the year 1988.
He was in 2017 when he established Ercan Saatci Akademi, the first private conservatory located in Istanbul. It provides educational classes that cover a variety of forms of art, such as theatre, music, as well as photography.
