Emanuel Viveiros is one of the most popular and richest Ice Hockey Player who was born on January 8, 1966 in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada. Emanuel “Manny” Viveiros (born on January 8th 1996) is a native of Canada and Australia who was a professional coach in ice hockey as well as a former player. Vivieros has been named head coach for the Spokane Chiefs in the Western Hockey League (WHL). He was also the associate coach with the Edmonton Oilers and head coach of the WHL’s Swift Current Broncos.
After four years with VSV Viveiros was able to move between teams from the Austrian, Italian and German leagues, before finally settling at Austrian Klagenfurter AC in 2000 after which he won another national title between 2003 and 2001. The Viveiros played for parts of seven seasons for KAC.
He switched to coaching after retiring early into the 2006-07 season due to a back injury and took over head coaching duties at Klagenfurter AC for the 2007-08 campaign. He guided the team to a national championship as a coach in 2009 and to the finals in 2011. However, after a disappointing 2011-12 season Viveiros was removed from his position as head coach, but then was named sports director of the club.
He coached the Austrian national team for three years that included the participation at the 2014 Olympic Games. He did not have his contract renewed in April 2014.
He played in 29 games of the National Hockey League for the Minnesota North Stars. He was awarded the Calder Cup in the American Hockey League in 1991 alongside the Springfield Indians. In the year following, He signed with the EC VSV in Austria, which he took home the national championship in 1992 and 1993.
