Dewiq is one of the most popular and richest Singer who was born on June 15, 1975 in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Dewiq is born Cynthia Dewi Bayu Wardani in Ujung Pandang in South Sulawesi (now Makassar) 15 June 1975. She was the eldest child of two that were the children of Indonesian Bambang Yulianto as well as Dutchwoman Myrna Amy Nigell. Her first song was written when she was in the elementary school then began to learn how to play drums and guitar in the junior high and senior schools respectively.

After switching to writing songs, Dewiq wrote songs for various artists which included Malaysian artist Siti Nurhaliza as well Indonesian artists Bunga Citra and Agnes Monica. In order to show gratitude to the people who backed her In 2008, Dewiq released an album compilation titled Siapa Dewiq? The Hits Maker (Who’s Dewiq? The Hits Maker) The Hits Maker album; on The album she performed two duets “Koq Gitu Sih?” (“Why do I have to be This Way?”) with host Indra Bekti. Also “Be Te” (“Bad Mood”) with singer Ipang. The album was able to sell more than 100,000 copies.

Dewiq was married to Parlin Burman Siburan, also known as Pay the ex-member of Slank and currently a member of BIP in the month of March 2001. The couple split up in secret in 2007 but only disclosed it to the public in 2010 when Pay declared that he was going to get married to another woman. They maintained an excellent relationship, working on songs. Dewiq was also present at Pay’s wedding for the second time. The year 2009 was the first time she told her that he “taught [her] so much about everything, from music to life” and cited her as being the person she had the biggest influence in her life.
