Denis Legersky (born March 25 1987, in Liptovsky Mikulas, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak ice hockey player and coach. At present, he is a part of the Turkish Ice Hockey Super League (TBHSL) for Izmir BB GSK and serves as an assistant coach for the Turkey international ice hockey teams. Its 1.86 m (6 1 1/8 inches) tall left-winger with a weight of 89 kilograms (196 lbs) shoots with a right hand.

The scandal was exposed the 8th of February, 2014., when officials of the Turkish Ice Hockey Federation permitted Legersky to participate in the friendly game with Bosnia and Herzegovina in the jersey of Ogun Uzunali, although he is not a citizen of Turkish citizenship and was designated to be an assistant coach during the game. The president of the Turkish Federation stated that Legersky’s participation in the match as a player was fully in line with Bosnian and Herzegovina authorities as a substitute for their non- citizen coaches.

Denis Legersky was appointed playing coach at Baskent Youthldizlari in the season 2012-13, just one year after joining the team. In 2014, for the IIHF World Championship Division II Group B games Legersky was admitted into the Turkey men’s national team for ice hockey as an assistant coach.

Denis Legersky played in the U-18 team of the Slovak team MHk 32 Liptovsky Mikulas between 2003-2005, as well as in the U-20 squad from 2005 until 2007 before becoming a member of the senior team of the Slovak Extraliga. After playing for a short period with MHK Ruzomberok within the Slovak 1.Liga, he transferred to HK Ruzinov 99 Bratislava to participate in the senior and U-20 team. Between 2008 and the year 2010, Legersky was playing for HC Dukla Senica, and later in the 2010-11 season as a player with the club he joined in 2010 MHk 32 Liptovsky Mikulas in the Slovak 1.Liga.

He relocated into Turkey in order to join the team based in Ankara, Baskent Yildizlari, which competes in the Turkish Ice Hockey Super League (TBHSL). The team concluded the season 2012-13 as the league champions and was named the Top Scorer, scoring 75 points (42 goals 33 assists) and was also named the most Valuable player of the season. Legersky played as a coach during the IIHF Continental Cup 2013 – Group A games in Miercurea Ciuc, Romania, and scored four goals over three matches with Baskent Yildizlari. In the 2013-2014 campaign, Legersky was hired to Izmir Buyuksehir Belediyesi , which was the league’s with a perfect record as the champion. He was awarded as the Most Valuable Player of the season in the following season.
