Darryl Gomez is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on October 21, 1977 in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago. Darryl Gomez (born October 21, 1977) is a Trinidadian-Kittitian former footballer and manager. Gomez started playing as a college player in the year 1996 with the Winthrop Eagles. Following the completion of his academic scholarship at the end of 2000,, he was a part of the USL A-League with the Richmond Kickers and The Toronto Lynx. The winter of 2000-2001 his indoor play was within the National Professional Soccer League with the Buffalo Blizzard. After his time in the A-League and NPSL He played with the Canadian Professional Soccer League (later changed its name to Canadian Soccer League) with various clubs. He was eventually to end his time in this league. Through his time in the CPSL/CSL, the most notable achievement is taking home the CSL Championship in 2008 with the Serbian White Eagles.
After a time of three seasons in Scarborough He signed with Vaughan Shooters. Vaughan Shooters in 2005. In his first season with Vaughan He was awarded the Eastern Conference title, and was able to make it to the CPSL Championship finals, but the team was defeated by Oakville Blue Devils. The year 2007 was the last time he played an in-depth period playing for the Canadian Lions, and shortly following, he was a member of the Serbian White Eagles FC, which won the CSL Championship in 2008. He was to end his time with his previous club, the York Region Shooters (formerly Vaughan/Italia Shooters) and where was a part of winning the First Division title in 2010 and then retired in 2013.
After retiring with the York Region Shooters he was immediately appointed the head coach for the organization in 2014. In his first year as head coach he achieved a remarkable accomplishment by producing the club’s first perfect season, and clinching the First Division title along with the CSL Championship. For his performance the league recognized his efforts with the CSL Coach of the Year.
Gomez was also a player at an international level initially as a member of The Trinidad and Tobago U23. He was in 2001 when he changed his national team commitments with his Saint Kitts and Nevis national football team. He was also a part of the team on the CONCACAF 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification the 2001 Caribbean Cup, and 2005 Caribbean Cup.

Gomez started his career as a professional in Canadian Professional Soccer League with the Oshawa Flames making his debut on the 30th of May 1999 in a game with the Glen Shields Sun Devils. The following year, Gomez travelled to the United States to participate for the USL A-League with the Richmond Kickers. In the winter break, it was his turn to play in the National Professional Soccer League with the Buffalo Blizzard. He returned to the league in 2001. returned Canada to join the Toronto Lynx, where he played in 17 games. After a short time in Toronto it was back to his participation with the CPSL with the Scarborough located Metro Lions. In the middle of the season, he was assigned for Toronto Supra. Toronto Supra, making his debut on the 29th of August 2002, against their rivals the Durham Flames and recorded a goal. He was chosen to his place on the CPSL All-Star team that played Boavista F.C..
Gomez was a debutant with his country’s Saint Kitts and Nevis national football team on May 16, 2001 in Haiti. He played in the CONCACAF 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifying rounds, where he scored the first goal of his international career in the game against Barbados on the 19th of June 2004. He also took part at the 2001 Caribbean Cup, and the 2005 Caribbean Cup.
In 2014, he made the transition from player to head coach for the York Region Shooters. In his debut season as head coach he managed to achieve an undefeated season which led to York Region clinching the Double, and winning the CSL Championship by defeating Toronto Croatia in a penalty shootout. The achievement marked a milestone as York Region became the second club in the league’s history to produce a perfect season after the Toronto Olympians in the 1999 season. At the conclusion of the season he was awarded the CSL Coach of the Year award.
