Daniele Cavaliero grew up with Pallacanestro Trieste youth teams. His debut came for Pallacanestro Trieste during the 1999-00 season. The following two seasons, his debut, he joined the Olimpia Club in Milan.
Since the start of 2005’s Lega Basketball Serie A campaign, Daniele was a player with Roseto Sharks and later Daniele was transferred into Fortitudo Bologna due to the scandal of the club that was located in Roseto. In November 2007, he was signed by Scandone Avellino also nicknamed Air Avellino because of sponsorship. In that time, he was able to win together with Avellino the 2018 Italian basketball Cup and was able to qualify for the EuroLeague.
From July 2011 he became a new player of Scavolini Pesaro with a two years contract. In September 2013 Daniele returned to Avellino, where he played for two more seasons.
