Daniel Wells (born 3 February 1985) is an ex-professional Australian rules soccer player who was a part of North Melbourne and Collingwood in the Australian Football League (AFL). .

In 2007 Wells was featured in a TV commercial for AFL in the Gold Coast and in 2009 and in 2009 he was featured in the official commercial for the AFL in which he played Australian Rules on an Association Football field.

2009 was a disappointing year for Wells when injuries restricted him to just 7 games.

At the end of the 2011 season Wells had shoulder surgery during which it was discovered that he had a large blood clot on his lungs. The clot was successfully removed and Wells returned to full health and resumed playing.
