Daniel Brickley (born March 30 1995 Salt Lake City, Utah) is an American professional Ice hockey defenseman who is now playing for Manitoba Moose in the American Hockey League (AHL) as an aspirant to the Los Angeles Kings in the National Hockey League (NHL).

In his sophomore year with the Mavericks during this season in 2016-17 Brickley played in the Mavericks’ blueline in a top-pairing position. He scored 31 points over 31 games and finished as the top scorer in the WCHA among defensemen. He was also selected to the conference’s First All-Star Team and Defensive Player of the Year awards. Brickley was then honored as the Second Team All-American, and gained recognition as a top non-drafted NHL Free agent. Brickley chose to go on with his college education, and return to MSU for his junior year.

At the completion of his junior season with the Mavericks in the 2017–18 season, Brickley opted to conclude his collegiate career, signing as a free agent to a two-year, entry-level contract with the Los Angeles Kings on March 31, 2018. He made his NHL debut with the Kings, and recorded his first NHL point, on April 6, 2018, in a game against the Minnesota Wild.

During the 2019–20 season, re-assigned to Ontario of the AHL, Brickley was hampered by injury. He appeared in 11 games registering just 2 assists before he was re-assigned by the Kings to join the Manitoba Moose, primary affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets, on loan for the remainder of the season on March 2, 2020.

Brickley was a part of his time in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) with the Topeka RoadRunners where he was picked in the initial round along with the top pick of Topeka at the NAHL draft. He signed a commitment to a collegiate career at Minnesota State University of the WCHA on the 19th of November 2014.
