Damien McCusker (born 21 October 1966) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who played with Derry in the 1980s, 1990s and the early 2000s. He continues to play club football for Watty Graham’s GAC Glen. The only exception was in 1989, He was a player in goalkeeper throughout his Derry career. He has played the majority of his time in the outfield for Glen.

McCusker earned the Ulster Minor Championship medal in 1984 with the strong Derry junior team. He was a part of the senior squad during the 1984-1985 National Football League when 17 years old. He began the Derry first senior appearance in the latter part of 1984 in a game against Sligo. After winning Ulster Football Championships in 1987 and 1993, he was able to join Derry’s 1993 All-Ireland winning team that defeated Cork at the end of their final, and added another Ulster Championship medal in 1998.

McCusker was born in Maghera and attended school at St Patricks College in the town. His brother Fergal was also in the 1993 Derry team that won the All- Ireland.

McCusker was part of Derry’s 1993 All-Ireland Championship winning side, as well as the 1987, 1993 and 1998 Ulster Championship winning teams. The public voted him onto the All-Time Derry Team via an online poll in 2007.

He was a part in the Glen team who took home at the time the 1983 Derry Intermediate Championship. McCusker was awarded the Derry Senior League medal with Glen in 1987. He was also able to win two consecutive Derry Junior Football Championships in 2004 and 2005, with Glen Thirds as midfielders.
