Damian was a vocalist the lead vocals on English prog metal group Threshold’s first album Wounded Land’ (1993). The album was released in 1996. Damian joined Threshold again for the recording of their third album, Extinct Instinct’. Another highly successful European Tour followed shortly after which Damian was forced to leave the group. At that point, Iron Maiden approached Damian to audition , and they considered him an option to replace the departing Bruce Dickinson.
