Daichi Abe is one of the most popular and richest Mixed Martial Artist who was born on November 27, 1991 in Niigata Prefecture, Japan. Abe is a native of Niigata Prefecture, Japan. Abe began his martial arts training at the age of eight with Judo which he won as an official Junior Judo National Champion. In his teens He trained in both punching and boxing. He took home the his 2011 Rising rookies Heavyweight Cup and the 2014 J-Network Light Heavyweight title in kickboxing. He also accumulated 14-10 wins, with seven knockouts. Abe later switched towards mixed martial arts (MMA) and joined Pancrase in the day of his MMA first professional appearance.
In October of 2018 it was announced that Abe was let go from UFC.
He next faced Luke Jumeau on February 10, 2018 at UFC 221. He lost the fight via unanimous decision.
Daichi Abe was signed to ONE Championship and was scheduled to face the former ONE title opponent Luis Santos at ONE FC: Pursuit of Greatness on October 26 on, 2018. He lost the fight via TKO in the opening round.

Abe began his career in the year 2016 in a fight against Ryosuke Igarashi. Abe defeated the Japanese fighter in just 24 seconds in the first round. He won his next three fights over a time of five months. He was scheduled for a title fight with Hiromitsu Miura in the Pancrase Welterweight Championship. Because of his love for feet, he was able to win the fight with a technical knockout in round 2. He had an unbeaten record of 5-0 before being to being signed by UFC after a month of being named the welterweight champion of Pancrase.
Abe made his promotional debut on September 22, 2017 at UFC Fight Night: Saint Preux vs. Okami against Hyun Gyu Lim. The fight was won by unanimity.
His third fight came on June 23, 2018 at UFC Fight Night: Cowboy vs. Edwards against Li Jingliang. He lost the fight via unanimous decision.
