Curt Fraser is one of the most popular and richest Ice Hockey Player who was born on January 12, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Curtis Martin Fraser (born January 12th 1958) was a former ice hockey player with two citizenships: American and Canadian citizenship.

On the 20th of December in 1982 Fraser had been traded to Chicago Black Hawks for Tony Tanti. Fraser was the best player in Chicago with an impressive 68 points (29 goals and 39 assists) in just the 61 games played in 1985-86. After five years playing for the Hawks they dealt him with the Minnesota North Stars on January 2, 1988 , in exchange for Dirk Graham. After only playing 53 games in the following two and a half seasons with the Stars back issues caused him to quit in the year 1990.

After his playing career ended, Fraser embarked upon a coaching career. After minor league stops in Milwaukee, Syracuse, and Orlando, Fraser became the first head coach of the Atlanta Thrashers in 1999. His record was 64–169–46 over three and a half seasons with Atlanta before being fired in 2003. Since then he has served as an assistant coach with the New York Islanders and St. Louis Blues.

Recently, he has coached the Belarusian national men’s ice hockey team at the 2007 and 2008 IIHF World Championships.

Fraser played in junior hockey with Fraser played junior hockey with the Victoria Cougars of the Western Hockey League and established franchise records for goals and assists, points as well as penalty minute. Fraser was then selected at 22nd place by Vancouver Canucks in the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft. He was drafted immediately and was placed on the same line as other rookies Thomas Gradin and Stan Smyl. The trio would form the Canucks most effective offensive lineup for the following four seasons and played a major part in the team’s journey into in 1982 to the Stanley Cup Finals.
