There were three other Argentinian players on the team and Jeandet did well in his adaptation, but within a short time the club changed their coach, and Argentinian Ricardo Dabrowski was brought in, who stated that Jeandet wasn’t part of his plans. This meant the end of the brief time with Palestino in Chile which was followed by Jeandet was able to return to Argentina. Dalcio Giovagnoli notified him of the huge plan Central Cordoba was having under in the process during the period. Many of Jeandet’s former teammates from Newell’s were also players at at the club and Jeandet enjoyed a successful 2000-01 season at Central Cordoba. They made it to an “octogonal” with Jeandet scoring 9 goals and were knocked out during the first round of the playoffs against Instituto de Cordoba which were well-coached and led under Gerardo “Tata” Martino. Playing in the Primera B Nacional, they finished the season relegated. Besides the bad sporting result, the club also failed to pay the last six salaries, which meant also a bad financial decision for him, and to make the bad choice even harder, Cienciano surprisingly won the Copa Sudamericana that season, and consequently, the Recopa Sudamericana as well.
