Robert Cord Phelps (born January 23rd in 1987) is a American ex- professional baseball player. He was a player with Major League Baseball (MLB) with The Cleveland Indians and Baltimore Orioles.
After being assigned to be assigned, Phelps was removed from waivers with the Baltimore Orioles on November 25 of 2013 in their bid to take over Brian Roberts and give themselves an infield depth. After being signed by the Orioles they were scheduled to start 2014 with the AAA Norfolk Tides. On the 24th of August of 2014, following his participation 3 games with the Orioles the team designated Phelps as a player for assignment. Phelps was sent back to Norfolk which is where he played the entire 2014 season.
Phelps was promoted to the majors for the very first time on June 8, 2011. The following day, on June 19, Phelps hit his first major league home run of his career with a walk-off hit in the 11th inning of the game against Pittsburgh Pirates reliever Tim Wood. Phelps was involved in 53 games over his time with the Indians and spent the majority of that period as a member of the Clippers. Phelps was designated for assignment on the 20th of November 2013.

Phelps started playing professionally with Mahoning Valley Scrappers for 25 games in 2008. He then was a part of the 2009 season with his team, the Kinston Indians. In their 130 games Phelps had an .261 average in batting as well as 17 bases stolen. Phelps split his 2010 season with two teams, the Akron Aeros and Columbus Clippers with an .317 average for the Clippers in more than 66 games. He began 2011 with the Clippers and, during 97 games, had an average of .294 average.
Phelps went to Santa Barbara High School and played in the collegiate league with his team, the Stanford Cardinal and spent three seasons playing for them for three seasons. He concluded the college season with an .307 scoring average, and scores of 115 runs. He was drafted by the Cleveland Indians selected him in the third round of the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft.
Phelps signed a minor league deal with the Philadelphia Phillies on November 25, 2014. He became a free agent on November 6, 2015.
