On October 4, 2012 Rocca was a polarizing figure in Twitter along with Massimo Bordin who, in the radio program Stampa e regime, revealed Rocca’s connections to Nicolo Pollari, and Pio Pompa in the Sismi headquarters about the writings regarding the Nigergate incident. The following day, the dispute was discussed, by Il Foglio, by Giuliano Ferrara, who claims that the sources used by Rocca were “the official reports of the American Senate and of the various commissions of inquiry of the United Kingdom about the different scandals linked to that event” as well as that the meetings together with Pollari and Pompa was only held following publishing the papers.
