Chris Ferraro is one of the most popular and richest American ice hockey player who was born on January 24, 1973 in Port Jefferson, New York, United States. Christopher M. Ferraro (born on January 24 1973) is an American retired hockey player who once was a member of the National Hockey League. With his brother Peter became the second identical twins who played with one NHL team, The New York Rangers in the 1995-96 season.

Ferraro was a player for the German Hockey League in Germany playing for the DEG Metro Stars in the 2005-06 season, before returning back to the American Hockey League with the San Antonio Rampage. Ferraro was a part of the team with his brother for the Las Vegas Wranglers for the 2007-08 season. On March 1, 2008 match with the Victoria Salmon Kings, he was the victim of a sucker kick that knocked him unconscious , which caused a concussion. Ferarro tried to bring assault charges against his opponent Robin Gomez, though Gomez was found not guilty. Ferraro returned in 2008-09 season with the Wranglers before he resigned from his professional career. He then set out to establish an academy for the development of youngsters in Long Island.

Chris was married to Jennifer who was his college sweetheart who graduated from University of Maine in 2001. A few months later, Jennifer received a diagnosis of stomach cancer. She after a battle lasting 13 months she passed away on November 5 in 2002. In honor of her, Chris set up the Jennifer Ferraro Foundation to help continue research into stomach cancer.

As a youngster, Ferraro and his brother Peter participated in the 1985 and 1986 Quebec International Pee Wee Hockey Tournaments alongside teams from the Philadelphia Flyers and New York Rangers minor hockey teams.
