Christopher William Cope (born March 5 1983) is an ex- American mixed martial athlete who competed in the world-class division. He competed in The Ultimate Fighter: Team Lesnar against. Team dos Santos, and has also competed in the UFC and Strikeforce.

Following the completion of his classes at the end of 2005 Cope was accepted into AKA MMA and began training with some of the top fighters like Josh Koscheck, Phil Baroni and Mike Swick. After three months, Cope drove down south towards San Diego and began training with KJ Noons and Tyrone Glover and, shortly after, became a professional, and compiled an overall record of 4-1.

Even though he lost in the semifinals, Cope remained signed after the show. He made his official UFC debut June 4, 2011 on The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale card, fighting against fellow semifinalist and teammate, Chuck O’Neil. He won the fight via unanimous decision.

Cope had signed with the UFC in 2011 to compete on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Lesnar vs. Team dos Santos.

He was a fighter in the circuit for amateurs and won his International Kickboxing Federation California cruiserweight title in 2004. After that, Cope committed himself to expanding his repertoire of mixed martial arts and began jiu-Jitsu master Jeff Glover to further round out his skills. He was awarded the brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and a black belt in taekwon-do.

The family was raised and born from Carmel Valley, California, Chris Cope began training in Karate at the age of eight years old. He then moved to Taekwondo, and later Kempo. While attending Carmel High School Cope added kickboxing to his repertoire and began fighting in the circuit of mixed martial arts in Carmel Valley. Cope was one of just four juniors who earned an invitation to the team for 1999 and 2000. Carmel High Varsity basketball team that included a number of promising college players. Cope also played in baseball for all four years in high school.
