Steve Bull. The move also effectively pushed Brindley into retirement, after appearing multiple times on the Pics in 2007 and 2008.

Brindley began his career with Chasetown before shifting into Hednesford Town in the 1980s and then he got his biggest break when he joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1985. After just seven appearances at Molineux over two seasons, the club sold him to Telford United, where he was awarded the FA Trophy at Wembley at the close of the 1988-89 season. The summer of 1992 saw a move for PS20,000 towards Kidderminster Harriers proved the best decision of his career since he was awarded the Football Conference title and played in the 1995 FA Trophy Final against Woking and was awarded the Man of the Match award despite having to leave the field with a broken arm prior to being substituted.

He scored the winning goal at 2004’s FA Trophy final. He was promoted manager in June of 2004 and guided the club to promotion through playing in the Southern Football League play-off in May 2005.
