Christopher Breen (born June 29 1989) is a Canadian professional defenceman in ice hockey currently playing for the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League (AHL). Undrafted, Breen originally joined the Calgary Flames organization in 2010 and made his NHL debut with the team in 2013. Breen was later hired to Boston Bruins Boston Bruins as a free agent on July 1st, 2014.

Breen was a player for in five Ontario Hockey League (OHL) seasons between 2005 and 2010 for his team of Saginaw Spirit, Erie Otters and Peterborough Petes. Breen was a late bloomer and did not become an OHL regular until his 18th season, and was not selected at the NHL Entry Draft. With his height of 6 feet 7 inches tall, The Calgary Flames took an interest in Breen and invited Breen into their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate known as The Abbotsford Heat, on a test-out after his junior hockey season with Peterborough was over.

Even though he played just one game towards the end in the 2009-10 AHL season and scored an assist in the process, the Flames signed the player to the terms of a contract. He was assigned to the Heat for the 2010-11 season Breen played in 74 games and scored seven goals and four goals, assists and established himself as a player within the Flames team. The next two seasons with Abbotsford with the Heat, scoring seven goals in 70 games during 2011-12, and seven points in 60 games during 2012-13. Breen was unable to play in the final 11 matches of the season due to an injury to his shoulder that required surgery to fix.

On June 30, 2018, agreed to return for a fifth season with Providence, accepting another one-year AHL contract.
