Berglund was a head coach for Djurgardens IF, Timra IK and Modo Hockey of the Elitserien. He was the coach of Djurgarden for two seasons prior to taking the team off in 2007 to become the coach of Timra. He was the coach of Timra for three years before going out of the team in the year 2010 to take over as coach Modo. Berglund was forced to quit Modo in 2011 , after just one season, mostly because Modo finished the 12th position in Elitserien and had to participate for the 2011 Kvalserien to stay in Elitserien.
