Carine Goren is one of the most popular and richest Journalist who was born on May 24, 1974 in Haifa, Haifa District, Israel. Carine Goren (Hebrew kryn gvrn – born 1974) is an Israeli pastry chef and bestselling author. At 26 years old, she began her culinary career as a recipe writer/editor at Al Hashulchan (Around the Table) and published Sweet Secrets in 2006. She has five cookbooks published, one of which is for children. In 2016, she hosts her own television baking program, Sweet Secrets. She was a judge in the Israeli reality TV show Bake-Off Israel. She is a popular fan and was the most Googled person in Israel in 2015.

Goren self-published her first dessert cookbook, Sweet Secrets, in 2006. The cookbook also includes a DVD that shows Goren demonstrating various recipes, much like her later books. Due to the success of her Hebrew-language cookbook, there was a demand from readers overseas. In 2010, Sweet Secrets became available via mail order. Sweet Secrets 2 (2011) was her second book. She also published several other titles, including a children’s baking book.

Targeted to the home baker, Goren’s recipes call for “simple” ingredients found in any neighborhood supermarket. A Haaretz reviewer opined that the success of her books, which spend months on bestseller lists, is due to her appeal to the “typical Israeli baker”. Recipes call for readily-available ingredients such as “tahina, toffee candies, halva and marshmallows”, and feature baking equipment found in every housewares store. Goren’s recipes are often recirculated in newspaper cooking columns and online blogs. She was the most googled person in Israel in 2015.

In April 2016 she appeared as a judge in the first season of the reality television series Bake-Off Israel, a local version of The Great British Bake Off.

She was 26 when she was fired as webmaster. Instead of using her severance pay, she took a 12-week pastry-making class. She decided that pastry-making was her calling and began to buy cookbooks while she worked as a computer programmer at Al Hashulchan (Around the Table) in Israel. To share her homemade desserts with coworkers, she was promoted to writer and editor and produced three dessert cookbooks. She began writing weekly Maariv food supplements in 2004. Under the guidance of Erez Komarovsky, she spent over a year developing recipes for cakes, cookies and fancy baked goods at Lehem Erez, a restaurant and coffee shop in Herzliya.
