Calle Erik Ridderwall, born 28 May 1988 in Sweden, is an ex- professional ice hockey Winger. He was most well known for his participation in the Kontinental Hockey League(KHL) as well as the Swedish Hockey Leagues (SHL).
After only signing a 2-year extension contract a month prior, but with HC Lev Praha announcing financial insolvency, Ridderwall declared his return to Sweden by signing a 2-year contract with HV71.
After captaining Djurgårdens IF in his second season with the club in 2017–18, Ridderwall opted to return as a free agent to former German club, Düsseldorfer EG of the DEL, agreeing to a three-year contract on May 2, 2018.
Ridderwall played in the AHL for one season, but he was not able to secure a NHL contract. He returned to Europe during the 2012-13 season and made his Deutsche Eishockey Liga debut with Dusseldorfer EG. Ridderwall had a very successful year with DEG. He finished the year with an impressive 22 goals, 58 points and 51 games to lead all of DEL in scoring. On 15 April 2013, Ridderwall was signed to a lucrative Kontinental Hockey League contract by Czech club HC Lev Praha.

Ridderwall’s uncle and cousin, Stefan Ridderwall, play hockey. Stefan was a goaltender in the Swedish Hockey League for Timra IK, while Rolf Ridderwall won the gold medal at the 1991 Men’s World Ice Hockey Championships.
Ridderwall was not drafted and played amateur hockey in the United States before he attended Notre Dame College of Business in the CCHA. Ridderwall was a student at the Mendoza College of Business and participated in two Frozen Four championships. Ridderwall won the game-winning goal in overtime for the Fighting Irish in the 2008 Frozen Four.
In the 2018–19 season, Ridderwall failed to match his previous offensive contributions from his first stint with Düsseldorfer, however still contributed with 28 points in 52 games. After a first round defeat to Augsburger Panther, Ridderwall at the conclusion of the season requested his contract to be terminated from the remaining two years, in announcing his retirement from professional hockey to take up business opportunities back in the United States.
